Office of the Provost 10th Annual Interprofessional Education Day

2025 marks 10 years of facilitating an annual interprofessional education (IPE) workshop for the Howard University Campus.  Our mission is to prepare faculty and students for patient-centered care.  We are excited to announce that our 10^th year will be an Interprofessional Education Case Challenge entitled “Blended Theories for Better Health Outcomes” and will be included in HU Research Month.  The case challenge goal is for students to actively practice collaborative team-based care to develop and enhance their interprofessional communication skills and ability to work in teams. 

The event includes 33 interdisciplinary teams from the Health Sciences schools who have completed an abstract in response to a clinical case study.  The IPE judged all abstracts and determined the top 6 for Oral presentations and the top 24 for Poster Snapshot presentations.  The teams will compete for monetary prize awards on April 24, 2025, from 8:30am to 4:30pm.  Prizes will be given 1st, 2^nd, and 3^rd place for Oral Presentations and Poster Snapshot Presentations.
