DESCRIPTION:The Regulation as Resistance Healing Circle is a specialized\,
two-hour trauma-informed community intervention designed specifically for
Black women students (ages 18–25) at Howard University. This program add
resses the cumulative physiological toll of chronic stress—often referre
d to as "weathering"—by providing culturally grounded somatic practices
to help students regulate their nervous systems and transition out of "sur
vival mode."\n\n \n\nIn strategic partnership with Vivia Yoga\, Aya Inc.\,
and Girls Who Lead\, this event bridges the gap between traditional stude
nt health models and accessible\, embodied wellness. Together\, these orga
nizations provide a safe\, culturally responsive space where students can
build resilience and prioritize long-term wellbeing amidst the pressures o
 f academic and daily life.
