Intersection of Ethics, Data Science, Informatics, and Epidemiology
Thursday, March 20, 2025 10am to 2pm
About this Event
We invite you to an engaging and timely virtual conference exploring the critical intersection of ethics, data science, informatics, and epidemiology in public health. In an era where health data is ubiquitous, this symposium will bring together experts to discuss pressing questions:
- Who has access to health data, and how is it used?
- How can we ensure fairness, privacy, and informed consent in data-driven decisions?
- What steps can we take to address disparities affecting underrepresented and underserved communities?
This important discussion will be led by professionals from ethics, public health, and technology and will feature a keynote address by Dr. Kenneth Goodman, Director of the Institute for Bioethics and Health Policy at the University of Miami.
