Howard main campus
Under the auspices of the Cathy Hughes School of Communications, the African American Studies Department, and the Center for African Studies at Howard University, the Howard University Speaker Series is pleased to announce its second speaker for this semester. Inaugurated on February 11, 2026, the mission of the Speaker Series is to bring eminent speakers to the Howard University campus who embody its global Black Diasporic goals. Dr. Patricia Rodney was the inaugural speaker last February. Professor Molefi Kete Asante is the second speaker. This Speaker Series invites luminaries who exemplify the Howard University mission of advancing significant scholarship for Black scholars in the Diaspora and across the continent of Africa.
