This workshop is an annual event sponsored by the Office of the Provost Interprofessional Education Committee. The interdisciplinary workshop is offered to all students on Howard's campus. The event averages 250 to 300 learners each year.

This year we return to in-person format in the Blackburn Center. The program is from 9:00a.m. to 3:00 p.m. This year we are collaborating with the Georgetown-Howard Center for Medical Humanities and Health Justice (MHHJ). The theme is arts, humanities, and healthcare. Dean Dana Williams will be the keynote speaker. Prior to the event, the students will engage in pre-course work on our Google Classroom. The program includes an interdisciplinary activity. Our attendees will include students from Health Sciences, Fine Arts, Divinity, Psychology, and Education. We will have a special presentation to Dean Rashad as the first inaugural chair of the Toni Morrison Endowed Chair for Arts & Humanities.

Interprofessional Committee Mandate and Vision

The Howard University, Interprofessional Education Committee aims to establish a university-wide

culture of collaboration amongst the Howard University Health and Behavioral Science programs

that will produce culturally-responsive, collaborative, and practice-ready professionals across the

spectrum of health and behavioral science disciplines

Communication goals

The audience internally is of course the HU community to demonstrate the rich educational experiences our students have that students at other institutions are not privy to. Externally, our audience is the higher education community. Howard's Interprofessional Education Committee is a leader in the field. We are consistently asked to present at conferences. Also, this event highlights the MHHJ and the partnership with Georgetown.
