IIPSJ is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that supports and expands the work of Howard University School of Law’s Intellectual Property Program by developing IP public interest initiatives, creating student internship opportunities, and advancing the scholarly field of IP social justice—thereby strengthening the pipeline of diverse legal talent and thought leadership in innovation policy. The Howard Law Artificial Intelligence Initiative is dedicated to ensuring that artificial intelligence development is guided by civil rights, ethics, and accountability through its focus on cultivating next-generation leaders, supporting mission-driven AI innovation, and advancing justice-centered technology solutions, ultimately positioning diverse legal professionals at the forefront of shaping responsible AI systems.
