Join us for an engaging and collaborative seminar on Exploring African Digital Archives. This session invites faculty, graduate students, and researchers to collectively explore historical and contemporary digital archives on Africa and Africans. Participants will discover how these archives—spanning various source materials, multiple voices, and time periods—can enrich research, teaching, and interdisciplinary scholarship.

 

About the Speaker
Dr. Chambi Chachage is an Assistant Professor of African Studies at Howard University, where he teaches courses on African Systems of Thought and Introduction to Contemporary Africa. He holds a PhD in African Studies from Harvard University and previously served as an Assistant Professor at Carleton University and a Postdoctoral Fellow and Lecturer at Princeton University. His research and writing appear in platforms such as Africa is a Country, African Arguments, and journals including Review of African Political Economy and Business History Review.
