Black Light: A Howard Short Film Showcase

Presented by Obibini Pictures and co-curated by MFA filmmaker Zion Murphy, this inaugural two-night celebration (December 2–3, 2025) spotlights Howard University’s emerging filmmakers alongside special guests Terence Nance (Random Acts of Flyness) and Karyn Parsons (The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air). Hosted at the historic Miracle Theatre and presented in partnership with Sankofa Video, Books & Café, the showcase features short films by Howard’s Undergraduate Directing for Film & TV students, MFA alumni filmmakers, and the Howard University Film Organization (HUFO).
