About this Event
Bison Education Week begins on Monday! To kick off the celebration of our education community, we will feature Dr. Sonya Douglass, Professor and Founding Director of the Black Education Research Center (BERC) at Teachers College, Columbia University. Under her leadership, BERC received $3.25 million to fund the development of a PK-12 Black Studies Curriculum for NYC Public Schools. Please join us to hear how Dr. Douglass stewarded this vision into a reality. We will dedicate Thursday, November 16th to the celebration of HUSOE alumni on social media. If there are any accolades that you would like to share, be sure to let me know. The week will culminate on Friday, November 17th with the SOE Day of Giving. Please know that 100% of your donation to the SOE Student Scholar Fund goes directly to students that are in need of tuition support.
