The AI Tinkery: Prompt Engineering 101 is a hands-on session hosted by the College of Engineering and Architecture (CEA) at Howard University and is open to all Howard students, faculty, and staff.
This applied workshop invites participants to boost productivity, automate tedious tasks, improve decisions, and generate reliable, high-quality AI outputs for everyday work.
Curious about what Generative AI really is—and how it differs from artificial intelligence, machine learning, and data science? Bring your laptop and your curiosity!
What You Will Learn:
- Write, test prompts
- Apply prompt guardrails
- Use zero-shot prompting
- Try multi-persona prompting
- Compare, refine prompts
This session is designed for a broad audience. No programming, mathematics, or technical background is required.
