Just over two months into the new presidential term, the political landscape is shifting quickly. In response, Stacey Abrams, the Ronald W. Walters Chair for Race and Black Politics, invites Howard University students, faculty, and staff to a timely and necessary gathering for dialogue, reflection, and vision-setting.

Join us for a student-centered event that will create space to process recent federal actions, ask tough questions, and collectively imagine strategies for building and sustaining power in the face of mounting challenges.

This interactive conversation will feature a dynamic group of Howard faculty experts:

  • Keneshia Grant, Ph.D., Associate Professor of Political Science

  • Marcus Board, Ph.D., Associate Professor of Political Science

  • Tonija Hope, Ph.D., Director of Howard University’s Ralph J. Bunche International Affairs Center

Alongside Stacey Abrams, these experts will uplift student voices and offer clear, empowering strategies for collective action. From threats to voting and other civil rights to opportunities for organizing, we will examine how power is being wielded—and how we can wield it ourselves.
