In celebration of the Quander Family Centennial Reunion—one of the oldest documented African American families in the United States—Howard University’s Moorland-Spingarn Research Center invites you to a powerful panel discussion exploring the importance of family legacy, memory, and preservation.

Join us for a conversation that will illuminate how families can begin their own genealogy searches, preserve oral histories, and build meaningful archives that honor generations past and empower those to come. Featuring experts in Black history, archival research, and family storytelling, this panel is both a tribute to the Quander legacy and a guide for anyone ready to trace their own.

Whether you’re just beginning your ancestral journey or already deep in the branches of your family tree, this event offers tools, insights, and inspiration to preserve what matters most.
