Join the School of Education for the 46th Charles H. Thompson Lecture featuring Dr. David Stovall of the University of Illinois, Chicago. His keynote, “We Cannot Forget the Assignment: Educational Freedom Fighting in Perilous Times,” will explore critical race theory’s role in understanding the intersections of race, power, housing, and education.

The annual lecture honors Dr. Charles H. Thompson, the first editor of the Journal of Negro Education, and continues his legacy of advancing scholarship on the educational experiences of Black and ethnic minority communities.
