The First-Year Writing Program, under the auspices of the illustrious Department of English at Howard University, is excited to invite you to our Second Annual Conference on Composition, Rhetoric, and Research: “Womanism and Afrofuturism in the Paradigm Shift Era.”
With over 100 presenters from around the globe—including students, faculty, staff, and researchers—this event promises to ignite vibrant discussions on the evolving scholarship of Womanism and Afrofuturism. We are also honored to welcome our award-winning keynote speaker, David Banner, whose insights and experiences will enrich our collective dialogue. Additionally, select papers from this conference will be published, ensuring that critical conversations continue well beyond the event.
